Abel Tasman is a north sea schooner, built in the Netherlands in 1913. She worked as a coaster, changed name and owners several times, until she became a cruise ship in 1998 under the name Abel Tasman, in Germany. Her name pays hommage to the Dutch sailor who reached Tasmania and New Zealand in 1642-1644.

Abel Tasman est une goélette de la mer du nord, construite en Hollande en 1913. Elle a fait du cabotage, a changé de nom plusieurs fois, jusqu’à ce qu’elle devienne bateau de croisière en 1998 sous le nom Abel Tasman, en Allemagne. Son nom rend hommage au navigateur hollandais qui a atteint la Tasmanie et la Nouvelle-Zélande en 1642-1644.
