Mont Saint-Michel

Photos of the mont Saint-Michel, some from a walk across the bay, others taken at night:

The bay (1 - 2 - 3 - 4), sun shining on the mont. The mont at high tide.

The mont on the horizon (1 — 2), the walkers form a line on the sand, next to the parking, the water and sand, and at the end of the walk, a different view than the usual view from the dike, with the walls and lodgings of the abbey.

At night, a puzzling photo of the gardens, the archangel Saint Michael, the corridors, doors and arches, medieval settings, fire in the chimneys, a weird machine, and the cloister. The outside walls.

Jersey

From a holiday in Jersey:

A sunrise, the northern, eastern, western and southern Coasts, and photos of the sunset, one in Gorey, the other in St Hélier.

Copenhagen

Copenhagen photos:

The spires of the city: (1 - 2 - 3 - 4), the bow window of the town hall and weird creature, a dragon streetlight.

Nyhavn harbour and an ochre facade (1 - 2 - 3 - 4), a passage, its wrought iron gate and romanic vaulted roof.

Copenhagen harbour: a lighthouse boat, a harbour control tower, a view of the Amalienborg palace, old docklands, an abandoned crane, a three-masts sailboat and a mast rigging tower.

Carlsberg brewery: the entrance, a circular stone vault, stone elephants, brick vaults and a red brick facade.

Normandy

Granville: the harbour jetty and an interesting way of mooring dinghies.

From the Channel islands to Le Havre: encountering a bottlenose dolphin, going through the Race of Alderney, the Marie-Fernand, a rainy sunset, arrival in Le Havre and walk on the quays.

From Le Havre to the Channel islands: Le Havre harbour at night, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, from Gatteville lighthouse to La Hague.

Medes islands

The Medes islands marine reserve: (1 - 2 - 3).

Scilly islands

Southwest of Cornwall: Wolf rock lighthouse and arrival in the archipelago, mooring between Tresco & Bryher and fishing for shrimp, walk on Bryher, mooring at sunset, leaving the Scilly and crossing the English Channel.

A sunrise in St Mary’s, sailing to St Agnes, and going back to St Mary’s at sunrise.

London

Kew bridge steam museum: cornish beam engines (1 - 2 - 3), Easton & Amos engine, Waddon engine, triple expansion engine.
Along the Thames: London Eye & Westminster Palace, Tate Modern & City Hall, Tower Bridge, the docklands, Greenwich Observatory.

Ireland

Arrival in Ireland, in Kinsale. Mooring in Rabbit island, going around Fastnet rock, meeting guillemots and leaving Sherkin island.

The Charente islands
