Webstandards & CSS
I’ve started using CSS (cascading style sheets) a few years ago, and I have slowly improved my knowledge. They allow really interesting, beautiful, and efficient web page coding. Here’s an example of tutorial about CSS buttons that I created for an intranet.
Webdesign
My professional website, SophieWeb, will give you more information about my webdesign and graphic design activities.
The website of Balestra escrime, a non-profit organisation in Rennes which creates and plays artistic fencing shows.
With a streamlined version of the Dive theme I did for this site, I created the website for the Freediving Section of the GMAP diving club in Brest (I was a member of the freediving and finswimming sections).
The NausicaMedia website was displayed in a blue or orange colour theme, chosen at random. I’ve worked on the design and the XHTML, CSS and javascript development.
Pinacothèque de Paris, was the website for a new museum in Paris, with a valid xhtml content, a CSS layout, and a choice of background colour. I helped with the XHTML and CSS part.
The CSS Zen Garden page is here to show the graphic artists the benefits of using CSS to create designs, I submitted a creation for this page. Check the other designs, some are extremely beautiful.
Osez le Cnam, the Paris CNAM Students Association’s web site, was hosted by the same coop as my site.
Soul Excursions, a site I created for a friend of mine.
BetterHTMLExport iPhoto galleries
If you use iPhoto on Mac Os X to create web pages displaying your photo galleries, maybe you’ve heard about BetterHTMLExport, a plug-in allowing you to enhance the presentation of the galleries. I’ve created two templates based on CSS layouts for this plug-in.
Simple CSS Layout
This template displays the gallery as titled blocks, with a detailed navigation, you can choose between a grey or light blue look.
You can view a gallery sample produced with this template.
You can either use the BetterHTMLExport template manager or go to the BetterHTMLExport template exchange site to download and install it. (last update on September 22 2004, version 1.2: visual improvements, bug corrections)
Square thumbnails
This template displays the gallery as square blocks, with very little text content.
You can view a gallery sample produced with this template.
You can either use the BetterHTMLExport template manager or go to the BetterHTMLExport template exchange site to download and install it. (last update on September 22 2004, version 0.9: now allows the use of images or photos with any display ratio)
