Barcelona

Architecture from Barcelona, including buildings by Antoni Gaudì:

Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens’ glasshouses:
The Palm House, with a passage hypothesis, its outside shape (1 - 2), its structure, geometry and curves, its pillars and decorations. The steam inside, the climbing plants and the palm trees silhouetted by the sunset.
The Temperate House is another glasshouse, also of cast iron, sheltering huge palm trees.

Paris

Paris page: the Eiffel tower, the views you can get from the tower, its eyeglasses, the tower under the rain, seen from the Alexandre III bridge.
The rue du Figuier gothic building, its angle tower and facade details.
Subway entrances and their street lights, an old concrete exhibition hall, the Louvre and its foundations. The villa Savoye, with triangular windows and beautiful lighting.
A Corean pavilion in the Jardin d’Acclimatation, a silver dragon (1 - 2) in the Jardin des Plantes.

The Menier chocolate factory in Noisiel:
The chocolate mill (1 — 2 — 3 — 4), its foundation (1 — 2), its machines and gears. The Eiffel hall and its ceiling, the cathedral, its columns and the Pont Hardi footbridge.

Brittany

The St Georges swimming pool in Rennes: the facade, the entrance and the enameldecorations.

An enamel fountain in the halles centrales.

Les Horizons in Rennes, a high-rise, with its curves, a high angle shot, a ground angle shot and details of its balconies, of the curves of its facade (1 - 2 - 3). Night shots, with vegetation, cut against the sky (1 - 2) or lost in the mist. Its namesake The Horizon in Sydney.

The castle of Fougères, its walls, courts, and its towers: Hallay tower (1 - 2), Coigny tower, its weather-worn doorway, the Mélusine tower and its dungeon, the Gobelin tower, the postern and the Raoul tower. The moats and the water mill.

Normandy

Hambye abbey: the choir (1 - 2), the chevet, the flying buttresses (1 - 2), a column, the open walls and a ribbed vault, the vegetation on the stones, the palm tree of the meeting hall (1 - 2), an opening on a garden.

The La Lucerne d’Outremer abbey, the facade of its church, its roman porch. The key on a wooden door, the organ and an ex–voto.
The cloister, the refectory and its beautiful lighting, the cellar, the wooden staircase and the barrel vault of the refectory.
The aqueduct and the abbey lodging.

Ducey castle: the facade made of three materials, is broken.
Its grand staircase with a stone railing, covered by a timber frame.

Pays de Loire

Nantes, with the Passage Pommeraye, its sculptures and staircases. The Dukes of Brittany castle, its entry tower, moats, a side door and the Loire door.
Sculpted faces on the facades in Nantes: gods, people, animals, devils.
A drinking water reservoir: 1 — 2 — 3 — 4.
The cathedral emerging among the surrounding buildings. The Sillon de Bretagne: (1 - 2 - 3 - 4)
Clisson, the church and a tannery.

Poitou-Charentes

Chauvigny, a medieval setting of 5 fallen castles.

In Niort, Bronze dragons in a street. The transporter bridge in Rochefort: 1 — 2.

Picardie

Amiens gothic cathedral, its pillars, flying buttresses, rose-window, vegetation mixing with gargoyles. The facade is lit-up at night to recreate the very strong colours that used to be painted on the sculptures of the gates.
